Data Deletion Instructions

TapSnap LLC ("we," "us," "our") respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our services, including TapSnap (NFC digital business cards), TapFive (NFC Google review products), and any associated accounts.
1. Deleting Your TapSnap App Account
If you have a TapSnap app account, you can delete your data directly from the app:
- Open the TapSnap app on your device.
- Navigate to the "Settings" tab.
- Tap on the "Delete Account" button.
- You will be prompted to verify your identity for security purposes.
- After verification, all your data associated with the TapSnap app will be permanently deleted from our servers.
⚠️ Important: This action cannot be undone. All your profile information, digital business card data, contact connections, and analytics associated with your account will be irretrievably removed.
2. Deleting Data from Facebook / Social Login
If you used Facebook Login, Google Sign-In, or another social authentication method to create your account:
- Deleting your account through the TapSnap app (as described above) will remove all data stored on our servers.
- Your data associated with the app will also be scheduled for deletion according to the respective platform's data retention policies (e.g., Facebook's data retention policies).
- To revoke our app's access to your social account, visit the Connected Apps section in your Facebook, Google, or Apple account settings and remove TapSnap.
3. Requesting Data Deletion via Email
If you are unable to delete your data through the app, or if you have data associated with TapFive products, e-commerce purchases, or customer support interactions, you can request deletion by contacting us:

Please include your name, email address associated with your account, and a description of what data you would like deleted.
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion via email.
4. What Data Is Deleted
Upon a valid deletion request, we will permanently remove:
- Account information — name, email, phone number, profile data
- Digital business card data — card configurations, links, and media
- Contact connections — your network and contact exchange history
- Analytics data — tap/scan counts and engagement metrics tied to your account
- Device configurations — TapFive device setup data linked to your account
5. Data We May Retain
Certain data may be retained for limited purposes even after a deletion request, as required by law:
- Transaction records — purchase history and financial records required for tax, accounting, and legal compliance (typically retained for 7 years).
- Legal obligations — data required to comply with legal proceedings, regulatory requirements, or fraud prevention.
- Aggregated/anonymized data — data that has been de-identified and cannot be linked back to you may be retained for analytics and product improvement.
6. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and others), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your personal data (as described on this page)
- Port your data to another service (where technically feasible)
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data
